Western Aircraft opens new hangar in Boise
Western Aircraft, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced the completion of the first phase of its $ 17 million expansion with the opening of a new 53,000 square foot hangar.
The hangar is part of the 93,000 square foot addition to Western’s existing 18-acre lease in Boise. Construction is still underway for the adjacent facility which will provide 40,000 square feet of space for the company’s avionics and interior stores and administrative offices, according to the announcement. The second phase should be completed by the end of the year.
“This magnificent facility was designed with our current and potential customers in mind,” said Austin Shontz, vice president and general manager of Western Aircraft, in the announcement. “Our culture is based on a customer-centric approach and personalized service – something our growing customer base Gulfstream, Cessna Citation and Embraer has embraced, which drives our need to build more space to serve.”
Western maintains a large customer base in the United States and Canada and has a long history of working on a variety of airframe types including Citation, Embraer, Falcon, Gulfstream, Hawker, King Air, Pilatus, Piper and Quest aircraft.
CCDC project recognized with national affordable housing award for the workforce

The next round of food and beverage tenants has been announced by Geronimo Hospitality Group for The Warehouse Food Hall in the Bodo neighborhood of downtown Boise. New installments will include Caffe D’arte, Freshie’s Lobster Co., CAMP Cocktail Bar and Totally Toasted.
The new arrivals will join veteran tenants Paddles Up Poke, Rush Bowls and the Loading Dock as part of the scheduled opening in 2022. The warehouse is a 29,000 square foot facility that says it aims to provide a mix rich and diverse food and beverage options in the heart of Boise’s Eighth Street dining district.
Caffé D’arte has been a Bodo staple for a decade thanks to its location at the corner of Eighth and Broad streets. Freshie’s began serving Maine lobster rolls, sandwiches and salads at the Park City, Utah Farmer’s Market, and will now make its first appearance in Idaho.
