Vadodara (Gujarat) [India]February 5 (ANI/PNN): Ajay’s Takeaway Food, which started as a small outlet in the town of Navsari, Gujarat, offering hot coffee, burgers and pizzas, celebrated a milestone in the history of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) with the launch of its 100th outlet on Vasana Road in Vadodara on February 5.
The launch marks an important milestone in the brand’s attempt to establish its presence in Gujarat’s booming restaurant market. In a very short time, eight years, Ajay’s has spread its wings by opening outlets in Surat, Navsari, Billimora, Valsad, Chikhli, Ankleshwar, Bharuch and Vadodara. The brand has big plans to penetrate pan-India.
Ajay’s, which started its journey in the city of Navsari in 2014 with the business principle of serving tasty, high quality and affordable food, is giving established multinationals a run for their money by demonstrating better ability to penetrate the market and aim for lower prices. points.
Ajay’s Takeaway Food is the brainchild of two Gujarati brothers – Ajay Solanki and his older brother Jaideep Solanki. After moving from Pune to Navsari in Gujarat with their parents in 2012, they opened their first store, which was not branded as Ajay’s. The success of the first venture prompted them to open a second location, but that failed miserably. They realized that successful businesses have distinct brands and offer something unique. Fast food chains operated by multinational corporations were out of reach for much of the population.
This is how Ajay’s was born in August 2014 on the philosophy of providing branded and hygienic burgers, pizzas and cold coffee at reasonable prices.
Ajay Solanki, the founder of Ajay’s, which bears his name and that of his elder brother Jaideep Solanki, said: “During the COVID-19 pandemic, like most businesses, Ajay’s has also been burned, and by 21 points sales, the number fell to 13 in less than two months of nationwide lockdown. We have adopted a multi-pronged strategy by lowering barriers to entry with zero franchise fees and removing the 5% royalty on sales. Today, more than 75% of our franchise outlets are run by entrepreneurs under the age of 35.”
From 2014 to 2015, Ajay’s established three outlets in Navsari. In 2016, the first franchise of Ajay’s Takeaway Food was established in Nanpura, Surat. Foodies in Surat accepted the reasonably priced burgers, pizzas and cold coffee offered by Ajay’s and there was no looking back.
From 2017 to 2021, Ajay’s has spread its wings by establishing more outlets in Surat, Navsari, Billimora, Valsad, Chikhli, Ankleshwar, Bharuch and Vadodara.
Jaideep Solanki, co-founder of Ajay’s, said: “As our philosophy of affordable food, we are offering a franchise for Rs 8 lakh, allowing budding entrepreneurs to make a windfall of profits.”
