Greggs and Primark collaboration: UK chain stores confirm launch of new coffee and clothing range in February

After several hints over the weekend, popular high street brands have confirmed that they will be working in partnership to launch the world’s largest Greggs cafe and a brand new range of clothing.

Fashion models in several Primark stores were mysteriously spotted with vegan sausage rolls and cooked steaks as part of window displays and in-store displays in a nod to the collaboration, while menu items Greggs also appeared on Primark’s social media channels in a teasing riddle to fans.

Confirming the rumors, the two brands announced the partnership this morning in a video posted on social media, revealing a new line of clothing and a unique “Tasty by Greggs” coffee experience.

What is “Tasty by Greggs”?

The collaboration will see the world’s largest Primark in Birmingham welcome the world’s largest Greggs with the launch of a new cafe.

‘Tasty by Greggs’ will seat 130 and open in the Primark store in Birmingham on Saturday 12 February at 8am.

On the menu are an array of fan favourites, including sausage rolls, pastries, pizzas, sweets, a range of freshly brewed coffee and hot take-out.

Customers will also be able to place click + collect orders through the Greggs app.

The interior will be uniquely designed to provide the ultimate Greggs experience allowing guests to relax in donut-inspired seating areas, spot flying vegan sausage rolls, take photos on a sugar donut swing or enjoy a shopping break at the Greggs picnic area.

There will also be a refillable water station and a self-service coffee cart so customers can skip the queues and enjoy a freshly brewed hot drink using contactless payment.

The new ‘Tasty by Greggs’ cafe occupies the mezzanine floor and is the latest experience to open within Primark’s flagship store, which alongside its fashion and homeware ranges also includes Smokey Barbers, the Primark Beauty Studio and the Disney Cafe.

First official range of Greggs clothing

Greggs will also launch its first range of official clothing in partnership with Primark.

The 11-piece limited edition clothing collection will be available in 60 Primark stores across the UK from Saturday February 19.

The exclusive range, which is the latest in a long line of iconic collaborations for Primark, will be a first for Greggs in its 83-year history as it finally officially puts its name to clothing and accessories.

More details on what will be included in the lineup will be shared ahead of the launch date.

To give fans a sneaky first look, Greggs and Primark will open an exclusive store accessible by appointment only.

Located on Dean Street in Soho, London, from February 17-18, the pop-up will offer fashionistas the chance to get their hands on some of the new collection before the rest of the nation by purchasing up to two pieces for free.

The appointment system provided by Design My Night will be open for booking via a link which will be shared on the Greggs and Primark Instagram and Facebook pages at 10am on Thursday 10th February.

There are a limited number of appointments, available on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing 300 customers through the doors over the two days.
