Cafe Bitty & Beau’s
TVA Développement has obtained a $ 350,000 permit to set up a Bitty & Beau’s café on Mary Avenue in the city center. The company was founded in 2016 by a couple who wanted to honor their two children with Down’s syndrome.
Bitty & Beau’s hires people with intellectual or developmental disabilities to outfit its stores. His website says he “has created a path for people with disabilities to become more valued, accepted and included in every community.”
In addition to serving coffee and pastries, Bitty & Beau’s offers a range of hoodies, mugs, visors, shirts, coffee mixes and aprons.
Stars & Stripes Music Festival
What better time than the weekend of July 4 to announce the Grand Waco Chamber of Commerce Stars & Stripes Music Festival, scheduled for September 4 at McLane Stadium. A press release from the chamber says the concert will recognize military personnel, first responders and health heroes.
Advance tickets are $ 30 and VIP tickets are $ 125.
