Popular Ontario pizzeria chain to open restaurant in Penticton

One of the country’s most popular pizzeria chains is opening a restaurant in Penticton.

Pizza Pizza, an Ontario-based company with over 500 locations primarily in central and eastern Canada, recently announced plans to come to the South Okanagan.

The store would be located in a main street plaza, close to other Mucho Burrito and Subway restaurants.

Penticton appears to be included in the Pizza Pizza opening spree across Western Canada, with Burnaby and Port Alberni also recently securing locations.

Founded in 1967, the franchise has operated in parts of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Yukon as Pizza 73 for over a decade.

A plaza on Main Street, which houses a Mucho Burrito and Subway, intends to offer a Pizza Pizza location in the near future.
