One of the Specialty Coffee Association‘s many online coffee gatherings that have emerged during the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Green Coffee Summit returns for 2022.
The Green Coffee Summit 2022, which is free to attend upon registration, will be held online on October 18-20 with presentations, lectures and panel discussions. The October 18 program will target the North American region while the October 20 program will target Europe.
The presentations will be aimed specifically at buyers and sellers of green coffee, according to the SCA.
“The live summit will offer shopper-focused content, including topics such as digitization, fair distribution of value, ethics and coffee buying etiquette,” the group said in a statement. announcement of the return of the event today. “Vendor-focused content includes market overview videos for the geographic region of the day, with a particular focus on understanding the attributes of each market value, followed by a live discussion of market insights and characteristics. market.”
The event is complemented by an online resource library of original and sponsored content curated by SCA that will also become a repository for Summit content.
Conceptually, the Green Coffee Summit and associated resource library resembles SCA’s Coffee Retail Summit, which has also been picked up for 2022. Neither event is directly associated with the Roast Summit, an in-person event held by To roast magazine launched in 2019.
